About our founder
Dr. Benjamin Clinton
Dr. Benjamin Clinton is the founder of Beacon Administrative Consulting and a seasoned leader in Texas public education. With a doctorate in education, a degree in economics from Rice University, and more than 15 years of experience across campus, district, and consulting roles, Dr. Clinton brings deep expertise in school improvement, finance, leadership development, and public-sector innovation.
As a deputy superintendent, Dr. Clinton led dramatic campus turnarounds, helping chronically underperforming schools reach A-ratings. He was also instrumental in creating one of the first district health plans to offer free healthcare for all employees without increasing district contributions. His leadership contributed to the passage of SB 1414, which gave Texas school districts more flexibility to opt out of TRS ActiveCare and design custom employee benefits.
Dr. Clinton has secured over $30 million in grant funding, helped districts across the state align resources with instructional priorities, and presented at statewide conferences on innovative administrative practices. Through Beacon, he continues to coach, train, and support education and public sector leaders who are ready to think differently and act boldly.
