The City of Los Fresnos hosted another successful Business Circle event this week, continuing its commitment to supporting and connecting local entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Held at Taqueria El Cien, the session featured guest speakers Arturo Gonzales of the UTRGV Small Business Development Center and Dr. Benjamin Clinton, Founder of Beacon Administrative Consulting.
Mr. Gonzales shared information about the free business support services available through UTRGV SBDC, including marketing assistance, business planning, and access to startup and growth resources.
Dr. Clinton introduced attendees to workforce training grants available to small businesses across South Texas, programs that can fund 100% of employee training costs in areas such as leadership, communication, customer service, and technical skills.
Several Los Fresnos businesses signed up to begin the grant process, and training sessions will soon be available in partnership with the City of Los Fresnos CDC.
Economic Development Coordinator Jeffrey Rosas shared their excitement about the growing engagement of the local business community. The City plans to continue hosting regular Business Circle events focused on marketing, workforce development, and business education.
“We have an incredible business community here in Los Fresnos,” said Rosas. “These events are about giving our local entrepreneurs the tools, resources, and connections they need to keep building momentum.”
With more training sessions and networking opportunities on the horizon, the City of Los Fresnos remains dedicated to fostering a strong, thriving local economy, a true Community with Opportunity.
